Hospital Sued After Patient Mauled By Visiting Pitbull-Mastiff Mix

Take Your Dog To Work Day is coming up on June 21st. The annual event was created to encourage businesses to allow pets in the workplace for employee morale. However pets in the workplace (employee or visitor-owned pets) can create serious liability issues for businesses if someone is injured.  

An example of such business liability is the lawsuit Davis Law Group recently filed (King County Superior Court, 19-2-13986-2-SEA) against Schick Shadel Hospital in Burien, WA after their staff failed to follow the company's own pet policy procedures resulting in a patent being mauled by a visiting pitbull/mastiff mix dog that had a history of aggressive behavior.
