A second area where many attorneys fail is their gaining a reputation with insurance companies as being a firm that settles every case. Many of the large firms that you see on billboards and on TV will advertise their large multi-million dollar cases, however, what we often see is that these large firms settle less tragic cases for thousands of dollars less than what the cases are worth. We routinely assist clients who were told that their cases are worth a certain dollar value by a larger firm, and we end up settling their cases for 5-10 times more than what they were ready to accept. In many cases, settlement is preferred, but there are times that we will recommend going to trial in order to get our clients the amount they deserve. Every case is different, and at the end of the day, we will never force you to go to trial.
