Care can be delivered through traditional office visits and telemedicine, or by phone calls and secure text messaging. Dr. Burrer has been known to make house calls when needed. This model of care eliminates co-pays, hidden costs, and the friction between a patient and their doctor. The goal is to get back to basics and care for people in a way that is most convenient for them. Valor DPC even limits its patient panel size to allow for better access to the doctor. Visits can be made the same day or the next day or scheduled during off hours if necessary.

Dr. Phillip Burrer is a family physician and founder of Valor Direct Primary Care (DPC), a Carmel practice bringing personalized, patient-first primary care to his community. Dr. Burrer obtained his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed his residency in Family Practice at UMass Chan Medical School.

He brings over 25 years of experience in primary care, urgent care, and telemedicine, serving patients of all ages. In addition, he is proud to be an "old-fashioned" family doctor, providing patients with both quality care and advanced medicine. To ensure we keep costs affordable while still providing exceptional services, we have not invited health insurance to be a part of this practice. Having an independent practice allows Dr. Burrer to cater to your best interests instead of the interests of a corporation or insurance company. If you need care beyond what we can provide in the office, Dr. Burrer will refer you to specialists and work with you to find the best care for the best price.
