We are a full service hospital treating small and exotic animals. We see cats and dogs but also birds, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles and all pocket pets. Our vets are knowledgeable and experienced with all aspects of pet health and wellness. We provide excellent health care for your pets here while helping you better care for them at home.

Dr. Jane Francka is a native of Springfield. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from SMSU and then attained a DVM degree from University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr Francka worked at the Florrisant Animal Hospital for nine years and then returned to Springfield in 1992 to open Sunshine Animal Hospital. In her off hours she enjoys gardening and biking. She and her family share their home with a wide variety of pets.

Dr. Kathryn Mainka grew up in Little Rock and went to Mississippi State University for both her Animal Science and DVM degrees. She joined Sunshine Animal Hospital in 1998. Dr. Mainka spends time with her family, pets and enjoys reading and cross-stitching.

An appointment is recommended for your pet however we also see walk-ins and emergencies.

Emergencies will take precedence. Non emergency walk-ins will be accommodated as the schedule allows.
