Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital is comprised of a dedicated group of veterinarians assisting Austin's small animal community. We provide full service veterinary care including regular medical, emergency and surgical care as well as boarding for cats and dogs. Our hospital is equipped with the latest technology in diagnostics and treatment. Our doctors and staff remain up to date on medical advances and strive to practice at the highest level of the profession. We have a full capacity x-ray machine with an automatic processor to perform our radiological imaging. Our separate dental x-ray unit can be used for very detailed imaging of small patients or hard to reach areas such as jaws or digits. We have an in-house blood analyzer which enables us to determine/test blood counts, general profiles, electrolytes, fecal, heart worm, cytology, feline leukemia & FIV screens, electrocardiograms (EKG's), blood pressure, urinalysis, clotting functions, and tonometry (glaucoma) screening. Results will be available in 15 to 45 minutes. Spicewood Springs also has an in-house ultrasound unit for basic ultrasound needs. For more detailed scans, we utilize the services of a board certified radiologist. Other tests can be run using the services of outside laboratories, who pick up samples from our facilities daily.
