Our firm offers a wide array of litigation support services including the preparation of expert witness reports and testimony, consultation and analysis to legal counsel, and rebuttal engagements.

A native of Kentucky, Randy graduated with distinction from the University of Kentucky. He currently holds CPA licenses in both Nevada and Kentucky and has over twenty years of public accounting experience. Randy practiced for many years in Louisville before moving to Las Vegas. While in Kentucky he was a partner in two CPA firms. Since 2001 he has practiced in Las Vegas where he resides with his wife.

One of the two business appraisal credentials that Randy holds is that of CVA, or Certified Valuation Analyst. This designation is awarded by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). NACVA annually selects one of its 7,000 members for its business valuation report writing award. Randy's redacted casino business valuation report earned him the award in 2009. NACVA also uses this report as a training tool in conferences it regularly conducts throughout the country. He has also earned the ABV credential granted by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) distinguishing him as a CPA Accredited in Business Valuation.

Additionally, Randy is a Certified Fraud Examiner, or CFE.

CFFA is another credential of Randy's. The Certified Forensic Financial Analyst professional designation is also earned through and awarded by NACVA. As well as undergoing extensive training and examination, CFFAs must demonstrate sufficient experience in litigation support, including a number of court testimonies or depositions. His litigation support experience encompasses a wide variety of engagements.

He is also a PFS, which was awarded to him by the AICPA. It is their Personal Financial Specialist designation granted through testing and the meeting of personal financial planning experience requirements.

As a Peer Reviewer for the AICPA's Peer Review Program, Randy has performed peer reviews of CPA firms throughout various states. He limits his peer reviews to engagement reviews. In the most general of terms, by reviewing selected accounting, review and compilation engagements of a CPA firm, it is his responsibility to determine if a CPA firm has met the AICPA's professional standards in all material respects. State regulations and AICPA bylaws require all Nevada CPA firms performing audit, review, full disclosure compilation, or attestation engagements to engage in a practice-monitoring program (peer review).

Randy has represented several business, individual and estate clients before the Internal Revenue Service on a variety of matters, including Appeals and audits. His Appeals representation has included negotiation of settlements of assessments as high as seven figures. Other CPA firms have also engaged him to represent their clients at the Appeals level.

Randy currently serves as a Disciplinary Board member of the Southern Nevada Bar, having been appointed to this position by the Nevada Board of Governors.
