King Brothers Dairy

King Brothers Dairy was reborn in the spring of 2010. The original King Bros Colebrook Dairy was operated by our grandfather and the rest of the King family until the early 1960s. Back then, this farm milked cows, processed milk and delivered it to homes, stores, and restaurants around the Saratoga Springs area. Many residents to this day fondly remember our grandfather, Edgar as their milkman. Our father, Ed, vividly remembers loading the truck early in the morning and dropping off the fresh milk and cream to their customers.

In recent years, an increasing number of friends and neighbors have inquired about how they can buy products directly from our farm. In addition, buying local has never been more important. We are returning to our roots by providing you with fresh, locally produced products delivered directly to your door. Our family run operation allows us to deliver you high quality glass bottled milk in as little as 24 hours after being produced.

Today our farm, Kings-Ransom Farm, is located in Bacon Hill - an area rich in agricultural tradition. (Visit www.saratogafarms.com for a tour of farms in Bacon Hill) Our long family history of dairy farming yielded us a New York State Century Farm award in 2008. Fresh milk is the main product produced on the farm. We grow our own corn and hay to feed the cows and also make topsoil and compost which is sold in the surrounding area.

Kings-Ransom Farm is also well known for our purebred Holstein cows. Buyers from around the world have sought out our genetics. To learn more, visit www.kingsransomfarm.com. Locally, you may see some of these beautiful cows at the Saratoga County Fair where we are regular exhibitors during mid-July. Be sure to stop by the dairy barn and say hello.
