East Hartford Animal Clinic
We are conveniently located at 109 Connecticut Blvd East Hartford, CT.
Our hospital is easily accessible from I-84/ 384 & Rte 2. Easy directions to our clinic may be obtained by calling us at (860) 282-8989. We are a full service state-of-the-art veterinary hospital that provides preventative, diagnostic and medical treatment for most small animals including dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, birds, and a variety of "pocket pets" . We also offer full time grooming and boarding for our clients.
Admissions
Surgical admissions are from 7:45 am to 8:15 am Monday through Friday. We do ask that you observe the following guidelines for your pet's safety and well-being:
- All dogs must be on a leash
- All cats must be in a cat carrier
In compliance with Connecticut State Law, rabies vaccinations are required for all dogs and cats...and strongly recommended for ferrets. Distemper vaccinations are also required for dogs and cats. Proof of vaccinations is required upon admission if your pet has been vaccinated elsewhere.
Specific fasting instructions (witholding of food and water) differ by species and are listed below:
- DOGS - No food or water to be given after 10pm the night prior to surgery
- CATS - No food to be given after 10 pm the night prior to surgery. Water can be left down at night.
- FERRETS - Regular feeding at night, no feeding the morning of the surgery.
- RABBITS, GUINEA PIGS AND RODENTS - No fasting required.
- REPTILES - no fasting required.
- BIRDS - no fasting required.
Grooming Admissions: Grooming admission are normally from 8:00am- 9:00am. Special arrangements can usually be made through our groomer directly, if needed. Please call us to schedule your pet's grooming appointment with one of our two experienced, professional groomers. Please be aware that fasting instructions will apply for our grooming patients that may require sedation or anesthesia.
Boarding Admissions: We are proud to offer a quality boarding service, with caring, individualized attention in a comfortable environment, for your pet. All boarding animals must be established patients and have been approved for boarding. Aggressive animals are not permitted to board at our facility. All vaccinations must be up to date or will they be administered upon your pet's arrival.
