Downey, Sweeney, Fitzgerald & Co., P.C. is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Downey, Sweeney, Fitzgerald & Co., P.C. is a member of the AICPA's Private Companies Practice Section of the Division for CPA Firms and as such, we periodi­cally undergo peer reviews of our audit and accounting practice and system of quality control. This is a program dedicated to ensuring that participating firms have quality control systems in place over their accounting and auditing practices.

We are also a member of the AICPA's Government Quality Audit Center. This firm-based voluntary membership Center gives us access to the latest information and resources allowing us to meet the challenges of performing quality audits in both unique and complex areas.
