Diebold offers services for addictions counseling, gambling addiction, depression counseling, and trauma counseling.

D.J. Diebold has been serving the Scottsdale and Phoenix metropolitan areas of Arizona for many years.

Our Arizona counseling services focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and uses it in an eclectic approach that helps clients obtain fast results. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is based on the idea that thoughts, not external forces or situations, cause feelings and behaviors, and that when those thoughts and feelings are changed, actions and responses are improved, even if the situation does not change.

One of the reasons our Scottsdale counseling uses CBT is because of the rapid results and finite duration. The average number of sessions clients receive is much less than other forms of therapy (which can take years).

CBT is a collaborative effort. Clients change because they learn how to think, process and act differently and are empowered with rational self-counseling skills that do not rely on the relationship with the therapist. Each session will have a specific agenda for the client and teach particular techniques and concepts. As the counseling progresses, clients can unlearn habitual and unwanted reactions and learn how to respond instead of react.

D.J. believes in long term results and in empowering clients so that they understand how and why they are doing well so they can continue to improve. One of the reasons CBT works so well is that the client is also an active participant. Sessions end with homework assignments and life practice where the techniques learned are put into action in the real world.

We are invested in the success of each and every client and invite you to contact Diebold Behavioral Counseling/D.J. Diebold now.
