Who We Are...

D. George Refinishing, Inc. is owned by Doug and Diane George. They moved to Austin in the late 1980's to attend the University of Texas where Doug received a Bachelors in Studio Art and Diane received a Bachelors in Architecture. Soon after graduation they started D. George and have been restoring furniture for the Austin area since!

Projects worth noting...

D. George has worked on many restoration projects for the State of Texas including projects for the State Preservation Board. Projects for the State include the Texas State Capitol Restoration Project where we replicated furniture, manufactured cabinets, refinished furniture and upholstered auditorium seating. The projects for the State Preservation Board and the Capitol are on-going. The lasted project was to re-make a window for the Capitol.

We are a full service restoration shop. All of the refinishing and upholstery work is done at our shop.
