About Gary J. Merz, CPA, MBA Taxation

Gary has lived and practiced as a CPA in the South Puget Sound area on and off area since graduating from Central Washington University with a B.A. in Business and a specialization in Accounting. Prior to establishing Budd Bay CPA, Inc. PS he has been a part owner in a public accounting practice in the Olympia area since 2002. Gary takes pride in helping small businesses, estates and individuals achieve their financial and tax related goals - which usually means minimizing or deferring the clients' income taxes. He has extensive knowledge regarding current tax laws and accounting software that assist small businesses. Gary is currently serving as Treasurer on the board of the Capital City Marathon Association. He is a past board member of the South Puget Sound Estate Planning Council and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Washington Society of CPAs. Gary is a 1982 graduate of Golden Gate University with a Masters in Business Administration - Taxation.
